Oh dear..... We have just lost lots of photos again! Having problems with memory card . So we've had to make do with what we have (and cheat a bit using Google Images!!!) That memory card has now been BINNED!!!
Took us about 6 hours to get from Saigon to Da Lat. Its beautiful here. But very cold (im sure its still not quite as cold as Hull is at the moment...but cold for us) Dom keeps saying it reminds him of Bridlington (err... hehe i know what he means...hmm!!!!)
This morning we rented a motobike driver each and they took us to see the sights. The company is called "Easy Riders" (which instantly caused Dom to start singing Easy Lover and i still have it in my head now)
Our drivers were ace. Really friendly and spoke excellent English which made it much more enjoyable and informative.
We saw loads of country side. Some absoloutly breathtaking views.
Our guides told us that 60% of the locals here are farmers and the rest work in tourism. Because the temperature is pretty steady all year round the farmers can grow all kinds of fruit and veg in every season
We went to the man made Xuan Huong Lake which again was stunning and there was also a Buddhist Meditation Centre there. We got lots of photos (but the photos are no more) :-(
We later took a cable car to get a better view of the countryside-even though it rained and was really foggy so we couldnt see very far)
We visited 'The Crazy House' which is a Guesthouse thats themed around animals. It was like Alice in Wonderland ! Very cool but a bit out of our price range to stay overnight. It makes its money through Admission Fees rather than through guests as it still hasnt been quite finished.
There is free internet in lots of the guesthouses weve been staying in which is why we are on here so much hehe!
Heading to Nha Trang tomorrow (5/6hour bus journey) Looking forward to chilling out on a beach again for a day or so.... yey! xx
