We left Ko Samet yesterday after 5 days of sun lounging...on the mini bus back to Bangkok we got chatting to a guy called Mark. He was really helpful and gave us loads of advice. As the weather down South is a bit crap at the moment (thats where we were hoping to go) we thought we'd go to Kanachaburi but apparantly theres a festival on at the moment so you have to book in advance... Mark was heading to Chang Mai to meet up with two of his friends and we decided to go with him. We had to get the night train to get here. And what a journey......

We got sat near a very drunk Thai lad and his girlfriend. He was so loud but he was making us laugh ... and then he decided to throw up!! We were killing ourselves laughing ... until the poor guy who was on the bed underneath him started getting angry cos he got covered in the stuff (it had dripped down onto his bed!!!) not so funny now

So glad we were sat a couple of seats in front of him !!! He got moved to the other end of the train .When we saw him this morning he wasnt so lively

The bunk beds were very cosy -Dom slept on the bottom bunk and i got the top one which wasnt as big as Doms and i felt like i was going to roll off all night!! But we suprisinlgy slept quite well! We got woke up this morning at 6am !!! Far too early. Especially when it turned out that the train was delayed 4 hours

So in all it took 18 hours to get here (Train kept stopping, its top speed was about 50mph and there was a problem with the engine!...)

But were finally here (checked into a nice little hotel called Jackys) and we have been looking into doing some trekking in the next few days... So we'll update you then
