Today the ship docked in Varna, Bulgaria but as it was going to be nice sunny day and we had not been impressed with Burgas we decided to stay on board and relax on the deck, read, have a drink or two and catch the sun. The ship was not docked so if you wanted to go ashore you had to book on a tender and then a shuttle bus. $10US for the shuttle which people told us they could have easily walked. 55 tenders went so a large number of people got off as it looked like there were about 40 on each trip. Everyone said it was better than Burgas but we enjoyed our relaxing day. We have met lots of people but no one to really click with yet. If people are with a group they don't mix in. We have had dinner with English, Scottish, Irish, Canadians and an obnoxious US couple. He talked so loudly about his guns, teaching his daughters to kill deer and how she wants him to leave her his guns. No one else got a word in. He was supposedly a former Apache pilot and his wife an archeologist. He just ear bashed the English man next to him so loudly that no one else could get a word in. Telling us what a great deal they got for the
trip. Probably half of what we paid. They absolutely hate Obama, saying he has set race relations back to old days.
Then said what can you expect we voted him in. We bolted from the table without dessert!!!
