Our first view of Vienna or Wein (in German) is on a bus tour of the grand buildings along the Ringstrasse We stop at ABC (Another Bloody Church) St Stephen's Cathedral. It is covered on one side with scaffolding and plastic sheeting for cleaning. Up at the highest point are men in harnesses who are probably doing the cleaning. Our tour groups are very large today and the streets are very crowded so it is not the most pleasant experience. We are treated to coffee and sacher torte but it is almost like we are a nuisance rather than supporting their business. It is good to get off on our to explore. The shopping street is amazing with every big name label represented and prices to match. I am keen for a carriage ride to get a different view of the city and absorb the atmosphere Dave is not keen but two is the same price as one so why not! Lots of our fellow travellers said they would have joined us but they weren't there at the time.
