After a rest and some Indian snacks and curry we joined the entire school for a belated Diwali Celebration. We each had sparklers and candles and rockets were set off and sky lanterns sent up. This was incredibly well managed and fun, the children and our students had a great opportunity to get begin to get to know each other, lots of laughter and cheering and applauding, but a very very late night after an incredibly long couple of days travelling. The photo is of the sky lantern that went the highest - the old boys in the school are responsible for lighting them and it is a competition to see which one goes furthest.
