Well our co travellers have arrived. It was good to see them,; they were frazzled when they arrived, nothing that a drink wouldn't help to ease the pain. First let me tell you there are 80 yep 80 steps up to our flat and another 80 steps down. If we don!t lose weight after doing those for the next three days nothing will make us like Marilyn Monroe. Gracious me we must have done at lease 400 steps up and down today.

We are at the Tuileries garden where the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel is located. Napleon had this triumphant Arc built to commemorate his military victories between 1806 - 1808, so much history! We walked around the grounds at Louvres and from there along the cobblestone walkways on the Seine river, very nice walk away from the tourist areas. The Opera House, Garnier Palace is magnificent! We came upon the side entrance as we were walking and decided to go inside as there was a very small line up. I am so glad we did, this was so worth the 11euro it is so amazing! The grand marble staircase, the ornate lighting, chandeliers, extravagant ceilings!
