Walking tour of the beach at low tide then of the village of Nungwi.

The tide goes out very far and you see all kinds of critters in the coral. A young fellow, Mark, showed me all the places to look for them - 5 kinds of Star fish, crabs, snakes, small fish etc.

Women and girls of the village in full Muslim dress, go in the waters to catch these small fish that they dry for eating. The young boys play in the water or football and a lot of people just sit around. There are cows and goats pretty much eveywhere and the raods are dirt. I find the 'Christian' people are very friendly, most of the staff at the hotel is Christian and speak pretty good English. So grateful for where we live!
