Knotts Berry Farm.......Today was spent being shot out of cannons, dropped from 30 story buildings, being put through g-forces we are not meant to experience, having my blood pressure escalate at a rapid rate, and my cardiac almost arrest! No amout of picture taking can show you the ture insanity of these fabulous rides.......Thoroughly thrilling day.Disneyland was great but Knotts Berry Farm is where to go if you want thrills. Our first ride was a grade 4. Pony Express, fast acceleration but pretty mild, good one to cut your teeth on. We walked through the 'Ghost Town', to a grade 5, 'Ghostrider'. It looks tame enough, an old style roller-coaster, all wooden joists and stays, starts off the same way, till you get to the top of the hill, then all hell breaks loose, unless you're in the font carriage you can't see the bottom of the drop, I know this because the first time we rode, we were in the back........The Silver Bullet, name really says most of it, flings you round upside down, side to side, sound ok? Till I tell you your legs are hanging free, there is nothing underneath you, you look down and the ground rushes towards you and rushes past under you, and then you look down and see the sky....... Yes, it's a grade 5!Being dropped from 30 stories high from a device named 'Supreme Scream' wasn't really so bad, especially next to the.......'Xcelerator'! Grade 5, extreme take off, like you're in a drag racer or being shot off an aircraft carrier, there are loops and turns after that but, they are a piece of cake.....There was also the Boomerang, Motezooma's Revenge, Sierra Sidewinder, and the ever popular Log Ride, yep, another water ride........For my money, Knott's Berry Farm is the place to go for excitement and fun. There were lots of kids there just making the height restrictions, but the park was nowhere near as busy, waiting for rides was not worth noting as we pretty much got on every ride immediately. It was a beautiful day not too hot, but warm enough that a t-shirt and jeans was enough. May even be a little sun kissed.....It's worn the youngen out he slept on the drive to San Deigo, and is now crashed out on his bed..... They don't make'm like they use'ta!
