Day off riding today to visit La Coupole a WW2 site that could have changed the outcome of the war and Europe. Built by the German army in 1943-1944 to launch V2 rockets to target London. Awoke at Maggie's after a great family gathering and BBQ 15 of us two fave cousins. Last minute packing shed a few more items, mended klim riding gloves, big cooked brekky, coffee, everyone saw me off. Sat nav allowed plenty of time 3 hours. Mike told me a quicker route. M25 Dartford Bridge - awesome

Day 2 TET France If day 1 was hard 2 was well epic. Camp Site was noisy and full of obese poms who drove a mere 300 metres to pick up their bread from the camp site shop. Had my brekky in the camp site - 2 coffees a French stick

After a challenging few days with James where my pace and bp slowed to almost zero. Left JPs and went to Massat for a coffee on the square. Internet was flaky, few out there alternatives at cafe. Saw some nice food and ordered burger & chips. Uneventful return to BdB and Patrick's where we shopped for dinner - veal steak mmm nice. Started on real ale while we cooked and went onto wine - big night hic
