Brekky of coffee and butter free croissant.
Ringing in my ears from 10 hours on the bike yesterday.
Made Appointment at the traditional local markets which were busier than usual. Big local fête and free entertainment was happening. The band were a bit like a 19 th century madness band, enjoyed the sound especially the lead banjo! memo to self must take lessons again.
Shopping for a thank you meal for my friends in the local markets has become a tradition when I visit. I love these markets and they inspire me to cook a la carte like the old days. Todays visit was no exception. The order had been 'placed' - Oysters, and Veal. Bought a really nice selection of fresh veggies-celeriac baby potatoes - a salad herb that tasted of lemon (Mache) most organic.
Called Liz for a big catch up - we planned a couple of weekends away including the Dwellingup 100 team event - she was off out for Andy's birthday (a meal Fish and Chips!) then little creatures comedy night. Feels so long away and strange to be planning things in a couple if months time when I've been living day by day now for so long.
Mountain biking with B de B junior club using Pat's 29 er again, fell off on video, excuse new Tyres, and unfamiliar bike!
Followed by a little re-charge nap.
Todays traditional a la carte menu:
Starter - Oysters Kilpatrick:
Fresh Veal filet - Hautes Pyrenees style - cider and creamed organic leek reduction. Served on a celeriac and baby potato mash.
Served with Organic carrots & coriander, and baked squash,
Followed with chocolate cointreau mouse.
Digestif more cointreau ...
Are you drooling yet?...
