Hotel fine things look better this morning although it is still raining. After breakfast we go in the hotel shuttle bus to the rock and soul museum. We loved the museum we spent the morning there and could have stayed longer! Up early as we are off on our final part of our American Adventure. Taxi took us to train station and we checked in. We made our way to the river again this morning to join another coach tour this time to an old sugar plantation called Laura's Plantation. The trip there was interesting passing through some swamp areas. We had a very interesting guide called Brian who was a distant relative of Laura whose story it was, they were Creole people. Walked down to the river missisippee which was covered in mist to our meeting point for a city tour. We boarded our coach and set off. The driver was also the guide. We saw all the different types of houses in many bright colours and styles, a beautiful park with a sculpture area with amazing pieces of art by famous artists from all over the world. Hotel seems good staff very helpful and friendly. We had our first outing at the Court of the Two Sister's for a jazz brunch. We got directions and set out into the French quarters of New Orleans, very arty and musical. We looked in one gallery and found pictures by a local artist called Matthew Peck!
