Today is Dad's day doing the blog. We heard a lot about "The Strand" from guide books and locals so we thought today we would chill out a bit, do some walking and swimming. Not so early start today! A little sleep in was great. Today we visited the Reef HQ Aquarium, it was their 30th anniversary yesterday. We visited the displays of different tanks, big and small. Some were with big fishes and sharks others were smaller tanks which showed the different corals of the Great Barrier Reef. The best part of our visit was the turtle hospital that we visited. This morning we started really really early. Mum was the alarm clock and threatened us if we did not get up. At the airport we went straight to the QANTAS Club. Lucky Dad has a lifetime Gold membership so we could sponge off him and get a great breakfast. The flight was pretty quick but scary as we had severe air turbulence which dad later explained was wind shear.
