Didier Moutia's Travels
So our last day in the Northern Territory. It seems like it was months ago that we left Sydney.
During our trip we came across lots of historic war sites so we decided to visit the Darwin Military Museum. The museum is located at an old cannon site from World War II. The outside areas have lots of old tanks, cannons, jeeps and also random machines and airplane wreckage. It was great to learn about the different wars like Vietnam, Korea and of course WWII. The best part was the video/show about the bombing of Darwin. I also loved the video table where you could pick someone who was involved in the Darwin attack and see where they were and what happened to them. We spent all morning at the museum.
We had lunch with the St John Commissioner which was pretty cool. After lunch we went to Crocosaurus Cove. Everyone kept telling us to visit the centre. It is heaps better than Crocodylus Park and we all agree people should visit here and not Crocodylus Park! We got to do quite a bit at this small park, we fed the crocodiles, got to hold snakes and lizards. Dad got to hold a black headed python, the keeper who allowed us to hold it has one of these snakes as a pet and has now convinced dad to get one!
Tonight we enjoyed a quiet meal in the city, our last meal before we head home.
What an awesome trip!!
