Well the day after the wedding and we awoke in fairly good condition so what to do today??? We decided to do a day trip to Cambridge!! After driving to the park and ride we caught the bus into Cambridge so we managed to see a fair bit of Cambridge - the park'n'ride is a brilliant idea £2.50 return ticket. After a wander around Cambridge we decided it would be a good time to have a punt down the Cam river. Our chauffeur was James who we found out lived in Brisbane a couple of years ago working as a door-to- door salesman. He was great, so much knowledge!! After that it was time for an ice cream - even Sean agreed it was one of the best that we had tried!! It was starting to get fairly late so it was time to bid farewell to Cambridge and to head on to ely cathedral. Talk about spectacular!!! Located not that far from wisbech, it was breath taking and the stained glass museum located inside had pieces going back to early 1200 - quite incredible!!! We spoke to one of the guides who said that the middle section of the cathedral had collapsed quite a few years ago so that section had to be rebuilt - it costs £30,000 per day to run the cathedral!!! After a wander around the town it was time to call it a day and head back to wisbech for dinner and to call it a day!!
