Our second day in Dublin and we decided to sleep in a bit later due to our big night the night before. Unfortunately due to our room being connected to a hotel that has its own nightclub and the windows weren't soundproof it didn't make for a very restful sleep :( luckily the night before wheels had told us of a place that apparently made pretty good coffee - the bald barista - it was owned and run by new zealanders - thank god for the kiwis!! As we staggered out into dublin's streets we saw the leftovers from Saturday night festivities - it was not a pretty sight!!" we finally found it and we weren't disappointed - awesome coffee and fresh foods for breakfast - Devine!!
We decided to buy one of those hop on hop off bus tickets as we weren't really in the mood to be walking much. Our first stop was dublinia - it was the history of the Vikings in Ireland and it was actually really interesting - a bit like the display we saw in York. Next stop was the book of kells - the lineup was a mile long but it was something we wanted to see and we weren't disappointed. Next on the list was the guiness brewery which involved a tour and a free pint. After the tour and our drink we decided to have lunch there before heading back to the hotel to catch up with wheels.
We met up with wheels around 4 and proceeded to start our pub visits even though we wanted to stay away from some pubs as the England vs Italy match was on. After a couple of drinks we decided to have Italian for dinner which was yummy!!!
To finish off the night we went to one of wheels favorite bars where him and Sean had a oyster lager which smelt like fish - yuck!!!
We decided to call it a night as we had a bit of a drive the next day so we thanked wheels for a great couple of days and we went to sleep, ready for our drive to limerick the next day!!
