Mal and I decided to walk around the Temple area and Fleet Street finding the old Inns of Court. Starting with Lincoln's Inn Field where Sir John Sloane's Museum is located as well as the Lands Dept & the Royal College of Surgeons. The Lincoln's Inn Court with many legal chambers around a large courtyard and the Temple (from the Knights Templar) where very interesting with the Temple Church and effigies of Knights from the 13th century!! We also visited the Royal Courts of Justice and attempted to visit the Old Bailey but the restrictions to get in were impossible!! No phones, no cameras - you had to take them to a shop on the corner and pay 1pound each item to leave there!!
We had taken our lunch with us but it was wet we had difficulty finding somewhere to eat it - Mal found the perfect solution, we stood up and ate our lunch inside a shiny red phone box!! with a view over the Embankment to the Thames!!
