Friday 3rd April
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Over the last three days we have sailed south back into the Tropics. We have anchored at Cabo San Lucas which is on the southernmost tip of the Baja Californian Peninsular of Mexico. The ship is anchored near the Land's End rock formation which includes El Arco, a lovely natural arch. The morning started very hot but by the time we got our tender it had clouded over a bit and this made it a more pleasant temperature. We went over to the shore with some friends from the ship and decided just to stroll around the marina. There were some lovely boats berthed here and lots of pelicans. In the picture you can see a group of pelicans and the one nearest to the small boat has just helped himself to some fish that was in the back of the boat. I love seeing pelicans and when you are close to them you realise just how big and strong they are. We also saw lots of different fish swimming in the marina including some yellow fish that looked slightly puffed up but I'm not sure if they were puffer fish. As the clouds disappeared and the temperature soared we all decided it was time for a nice cold beer. We found a shady bar and enjoyed a leisurely drink before returning to the tender pier.
