2nd - 6th June
We had to fly via Saigon then from Saigon back to Nha Trang. Whilst waiting for our flight in Saigon Airport Cheryl and I had the most amazing foot massage with hot stones, this was a first for me and I loved it, so relaxing infact that we fell asleep, bliss.Arrive back in Nha Trang, yay! I love it here. Second time round was amazing so much better than the first time as I did so much more and met up with some friends from back home which was cool. This time stayed in a guesthouse 'Bao Long' had a top floor room with a sea view, it was great.
I obviously can't get enough of all this pampering as within an hour of arriving went for what was yet another amazing treatment but this time a facial at 'Lyz's'. Quite different from those back home and well recommended. First night was spent chilling at Guava bar. A really cool sports bar with a tree-shaded patio and inside cushion-laden sofas and pool tables/tv's.I had to give into turning veggie after seeing my favourite dish on the menu, Chilli Con Carne and there was certainly no regrets in doing this it was so yummy! On from here was again Why Not Bar and Sailing Club.
Spent the whole of the next day chilling on the beach yet again but this time at 'Louisiane' (just one up from Sailing Club). A really nice stylish beach club with a swimming pool.
(Cheryl and I had our first fall out and decided to separate for a few days (inevitable I guess when you're with someone 24/7).
After a little breather though everything was coolio and we're the best of friends again. Went to a restaurant tonight (a must visit if in Nha Trang) called Lou Bo Uc - only tends to be a place where the locals go though. Here you can cook your own food on the hot plates in the centre of the tables, doesn't look much to walk into but the food is really good.
Next visit was a trip on the cable cars over to Vinpearl. This park has 20 water slides for adults a big children's play area plus a really cool wave pool (try staying on your rubber ring in here, impossible but such a good laugh). We had so much fun (such big kids, ha!) The park is surrounded by a long winding river and has a lovely beach. After exhausting ourselves out on all the slides and climbing many stairs to each one we went over to check out the Underwater World and then had a little wander through the small shopping village. After a great fun filled day spent the evening back at the Guava bar (for yet another Chilli) and then onto Blue Gecko Bar (this is basically someone's lounge with a bar and pool table that they open up to the public for late night drinks)
Last full day in Nha Trang, had brekkie at Rainbow Divers (a little café right next to our guesthouse) and then onto enjoy a full day in the 'Mud baths' at the Thap Ba Hot Spring Centre. This place was amazing and after spending the day here you feel great. All the water is spring water from the mountains so the showers, baths and even the water in the outdoor pool is hot (about 30-40 degrees) To finish the day off nicely we booked in at a place called 'Lucky' for a 80 minute Foot, Hand, Head & Back massage with hot stones. All this for just $10, how cheap is that! I'm loving these hot stones they're amazing. Before having another night in Guava went back to the Sailing Club for one last time and had the best Indian, the money you pay here is so worth departing with.
Finished my last morning in Nha Trang doing more shopping before getting my flight to Cambodia via Saigon (I've seriously got to start sending some stuff back home very soon!).
