Day 3 - 4th May
No plans were made for today and we didn't wake up until midday so missed breakfast at our hotel. We went to a local place and the menu was awful.... 'fish bladder' 'frog'.... and lots more strange things, so to play safe went for ommlette and toast (a bit boring I know but I'm not the most adventurous when it comes to different foods so prefer to stick to what I know!)
After breakfast we went to two more temples... with the 'Bid Buddha' and 'Sleeping Buddha'.
In the evening we got a taxi into the newer part of Bangkok (further south to where we were staying) and slightly nicer to what we had seen so far. Went for a drink in a lovely hotel called the 'Banyon Tree' purely to see the views of Bangkok (check this out on the internet, looks amazing) Unfortunately, neither of our cameras took very good pictures which was a shame.
We then went onto have dinner at a restaurant near by. If I was on my own I would have turned around and gone elsewhere.... as soon as we walked in there were fish tanks from which people were picking out their dinner, yuk! I'm definitely not one for sea food but luckily there were other choices on the menu of what I would call 'normal food'.
Pick up tomorrow morning is an early one so another early night for us
