Day 6 - 7th May After a long journey on the over night train we finally arrive in Chiang Mai. We had a transfer arranged to pick us up from the train station and take us to our hotel (you'll probably have noticed that we haven't actually made it to any hostels as yet!) Days 4 & 5 - 5th & 6th May We begin the 'River Kwai Trekking Tour and Tiger Temple' 2 days and 1 night. Day 1 - Early pickup from our hotel and travelled to Kanchanaburi. On the way we stopped to visit the Cemetry of allied prisoner of the second world war then onto the Jeath museum followed by a visit to The Bridge Over The River Kwai. Day 2 - 3rd May First place to visit today was the Grand Palace, only 10min walk from our hotel. Unfortunately, though when we got there it was closed so got on a Tuk Tuk 'big mistake' as they're a complete rip off! Rather than take you to where you want to go they talk you into going to fashion houses and jewelley shops so that you can buy and they get vouchers of some sort for taking you there.
