Well upon leaving Adelaide and our Xmas blues behind, we now have what is arguably the most exciting drive in Australia. The great ocean road, there are so many sights to see along here and the views are amazing. I just wish I had a camera worthy enough to show you all what I saw. Unfortunately the iPhone just doesn't cut it. That aside it was a great 4/5 days driving across. At some points your stopping every couple km's to take something new in. Best of all for the traveller it's all free! Now I know a lot of people will tell you the 12 apostles is the greatest sight, from my view the most overrated part of the drive. Overflowing with tourists, right back from the car park to the viewing points. I'm not moaning or exaggerating here, I mean you're literally penguin walking across the bridge to get to view points and quite frankly there's not 12 apostles anyway, only 7 remain. Looking back tho apostles aside, I can't deny it was the best part of the travels, BUT you have to drive to take it all in. So much to see. Even once all the attractions have passed and your only heading towards Melbourne by road you still get to drive all through the mountains. Again the views are amazing and the drive is loads of fun, probably a lot more so in a nice traction car. As the non power assisted steering is not the greatest for all the tight turns. Still, I can easily understand the attraction it all brings and I would honestly recommend it to anyone who gets the chance. Anyway enough of all this beautiful culture malarkey. On to Melbourne...
