This past week we have been staying at Chojnik Hotel in Southern Poland. The hotel is in the hills of a national park. We are guests of Angloville and have spent a wonderful week conversing with Polish people who want to immerse themselves in English and practice speaking it. Altogether there were 32 of us, half Polish and half native speakers. The native speakers are from all over the world, England, USA, New Zealand, Chilli, Canada and Sweden. All with different accents so it was quite challenging for the Polish participants. Everybody had fun and we made loads of new friends.
During the week we treked to Chojnik Castle and climbed up to the battlements. It was a quite a climb but the view from the top was spectacular.
To celebrate the end of the week, last night we had a farewell barbecue. The weather has been nice and hot and it was a lovely balmy evening under a clear starlit sky. We sat around a fire pit drinking beer and toasting sausages. A very nice end to the week.
This afternoon we leave by bus to Wroclaw and train to Georling in Germany to meet our hosts for the next two weeks.
