Sorry problem with photo upload at the moment.
We had an interesting day out in Prague. The weather was hot and sunny and the place was teeming with tourists of all nationalities. Our hosts had found some information about a tram museum and the museum of technology that Chris obviously wanted to see, so we sped off to Prague for the day. The museum's here are truly wonderful with lots if exhibits and well displayed. Everything is well kept and bright and clean, not a cobweb in sight. When we were in the tram museum we could hear music and, turning a corner, there were a group of musicians playing lovely classical music alongside the trams. On mentioning it to our host, he said it was quite common for groups of musicians to practice in public buildings.
After the museums we continued on into the centre of Prague to see the Palace and Cathedral , the latter of which was truly stunning. We then took a tram to walk along Charles Bridge, a venue for artists drawing caricatures and portraits. It was funny looking at the caricature and the people that were sitting having them done . I don't think I would like to see my main attributes emphasised for all to see!
There was just enough time to get to the city clock before it chimed 4 o'clock. We squeezed our way through the crowds and watched the little figures pass behind the doors, a bit disappointing actually, then as the chimes died, a lone bugler sent out a bugle call from the top of the tower, not sure why he was there, but he received a huge round of applause for his efforts as it was better than the clock!
