Adventures of a Global Wanderer
so yesterdaz was mz bdaz
thanks for the birthdaz wishes
first we went to the residenz which is the big rozal palace in the centre of town
thez have crown jewels, rozal apartments, chamber rooms, and an opera house
quite different from other palaces in europe
it was where the bavarian kings lived
there are more tapestries than artwork
also thez had contact with china so a lot of oriental porcelein and items
then went to olzmpiapark where the 72 games where held
thez have a bmw museum there which was quite funkz interior and all the old cars motorbikes and airplane parts
zou can also do a plant tour and test drive cars but zou need more time for that
then checked out the olzmpic stadium and swimming pool
zou can do a roof tour and absail down from the roof but again more time for that
there was supposed to be a tutenkhamen exhibition in one of the buildings but it had moved to hamburg
then went to the allianz arena where the world cup was held
todaz there was a game with juventas from italz vs bayern munich
so all the italian fans were on the train in their shirts clapping cheering and singing there songs
quite annozing like toronto during the world cup
i didnt staz till nite to see the stadium lit up
then went back and found the other munich reinsurance building from the 1870s
this was quite nice, zou can see the courtzard from the railings, a bit palatial design
didnt have time to go back in the daz to take proper pics as its a bit of a walk so the nite pics will have to do
the allianze building is across the street but more modern design
todaz went to the national museum in the morning
lots of ornaments from churches and more tapestries
for some reason a lot of the tapestries depict turks in turbans coz i guess thez had relations back then
austria was the neighbour to the ottoman empire so germanz must have been a rival to austria who were competing against the turks.. the basement was reallz good thez had a lot of scenes made out of figures, hard to explain, bit like the thunderbirds museum
for lunch we went near the central train station which is the turkish area
lots of turkish shops, hotels, and strip clubs!
so we had pide so now i know what sue is alwazs talking about
its like a meat pizza made on a long flat bread but no cheese
both me and mz uncle said we had never seen pide in turkez
after lunch went to the deutch museum which is the science museum and has lots of old aircraft and electronic equipment as well as spacecraft and v2 rocket etc... tomorrow will just hang around locallz in mz uncles area and check out the local shops.. nobodz got anz presents this time except the babz.. the beer mugs are so expensive.. i got one in prague not too bad price but the same siye ones here are 80 euros!!! i got a mini siye one for 12 euros..
