Next up was our tour of Chiemsee Palace. No pics were allowed so I had to use my hands behind back method so lots of ceilings.

For all its grandeur Ludwig wanted to spend time alone without courtiers. His only companion was the composer Wagner who he had a bit of a bromance with. Wagner played along for his patronage.

The palace was modelled on Versailles but only partially completed. There is also a pulley system for raising and lowering the chandaliers in the grand rooms.

Next in the King Ludwig Museum they let you take pics of anything which was odd when they didnt allow in the palace and equally valuable things. There were photos thru his life and some of his construction projects.
