Adventures of a Global Wanderer
I had a 10 hour flight to San Francisco on United and was surprised that the plane didnt have any personal tvs but rather the older overhead ones in the aisles. There was a group of about 30 korean guys all working for some engineering company wearing their name tags for the entire flight Leaving Incheon we had to go thru additional hand security checks at the gate. They also scrutinized the contents of my backpack when going thru the security screeners earlier. I hoped things wouldnt get worse at San Francisco. We passed over the Incheon harbour bridge (see three entries back) and saw the new Incheon skyline. Then we flew over Seoul and the Han River. We didnt have the latest blockbuster movies but instead a BBC Films production starring Ewan McGregor trying to start a salmon fishing farm, and an old episode of Frasier from the 1990s. I managed to sleep and we had audio music channels so it wasnt too bad. Landing in San Francisco we passed over the California mountains. I then saw downtown but couldnt see the Golden Gate Bridge. There was a long white bridge downtown and I saw many other bridges but none of them were red. There were also interesting waterside subdivisions and luxury homes.
