So we leave ko samui at 1 pm on the 14th we hop on a bus that then takes us on the ferrie, a big ferrie where cars can get on as well... We leave our backpacks in the bus no worries..
After the ferrie the same bus takes us to this city called Surat thani. It drops us off at a cafe where we realize our bags have been messed with, so we check them and it is very obvious our oh so friendly Thai bus driver went through our bags and took whatever he wanted. Luckily we didn't have any valuable things, except for josh's old iPhone which they did take.
After looking through our bags everyone else checked theirs and we were all really pissed of. The cafe people told us we had to wait 1 hour and the bus to take us to Bangkok would come.
One hour later this shared taxi rolled up and only took half of us as we all didn't fit in it.. he took us to another cafe were we got told to wait another hour for the bus, by this point everyone was extremely pissed off and confused.
20 minutes later the other half of us rolled up, then 3 people more people came and everything just got so confusing we all just chilled and gave up trying to figure when we would leave.
At 8.30 pm or so we finally hop on the bus which had been parked right in front of us the whole hour that we had been there waiting. Luckily it was a comfy bus that we could recline the sits very far and we each had our own blankets.
Me and josh ofcourse passed out straight away. And didn't wake to until we got to Bangkok at 6 am the next day. We ask the bus where he w3as dropping us and he said khoasan road... which is where we stayed at the beginning of our Thailand journey, anyways as we get off the bus we realise we aren't near khoasan road and there were a bunch of taxi drivers there very willing to take us. At this moment me and josh pretty much detest the thais... i mean they go through our things, make us wait for hours when the bus was ready the whole time and we could of just left 2 hours before we actually did and then they drop us off in the middle of a highway kind of street where they know we have to get taxis... so very nice of them!
Me and josh give up and decide to hop in to a taxi with this young driver.. we were lucky for the first time, our taxi driver was actually friendly for real!! He dropped us off at a tourist info so we could book our train or bus ticket up to chiang mai, but at the tourist info they want you to pay like 1200 so we said no straight away. Our taxi driver then showed us to the official train and bus station where he said we could get cheap tickets, so we walk there.
As we are walking to the station Denise realises someone went through her handbag, after ten minutes of trying to figure out how and when and where someone had managed to go through we realise the only possible time would have been as we slept on the bus. So that's twice the smae company has stolen from us ughhh!!!
We get to the station and we are in luck there's a 12 hour train heading up to chiang mai at 8.30. So we sit down have breakfast and wait.
At 8.30 we hop on our train and off we go. Luckily this train was comfy and they even offered free drinks and a little breakfast, a hot lunch and a small treat for dinner. Our train was delayed ofcours and we didn't get to chiang mai to about 9.30 ish. Once there we were ofcourse ambushed by taxi drivers, we knew our hostel was around the corner so this time we were not going to just hop in anyway... one of the taxi drivers started flashing his light at us (omg so irritating!) and we asked him how much, his price was ofcourse way to much so we tried to bargain. He was a bit of a nuckle head so we started walking away, in the end he took our price and took us to the hostel!
After 32 or so hours we finally arrive at our hostel! HALLELUJAH!
