Hit the bustling metropolis of Dongara-Denison (pop. 1000?) on a Sunday, which was unfortunate, as nothing much was open. Checked out the sights, then set up camp at a caravan park right on the beach at Port Denison. We've splashed out and got ourselves an ensuite site, it's a strange feeling not having to shower in thongs.
The highlight of our visit has been watching the professional crayfishermen unload at the port. It's a hive of activity when the boats come in, everyone working at breakneck speed to get the day's catch unloaded, then stock up with bait and baskets for the next day. Much busting of foofle valves.
We've tried our luck fishing off the breakwall of the marina, but only stingrays and shovelnose sharks have been interested, worse luck. Lee's almost convinced there are no fish anywhere but Cape Range National Park, and is threatening on a daily basis to turn the Navvy round and head back there!
