After leaving Victor Harbour we continued east, crossing the mighty Murray River via car ferry at the little town of Wellington. After leaving Adelaide, we spent the day travelling down the beautiful Fleurieau Peninsula, through the wine region of McLaren Vale (no, we didn't stop - we hadn't recovered from the Barossa), making our way down to Victor Harbour. We did a mini-tour of Adelaide, visiting Glenelg and Port Adelaide, before arriving at Sue's house and settling in for a big dose of couch time! We were very bad tourists during our Adelaide stay, and absolutely loved it. There was much sleeping in and watching of cricket and tennis, and of course, chin-wagging. After staying a night in Port Pirie, and catching up with Brandon, Ruth and Jacob after a chance sighting of them on the main street, we hit the Barossa! First stop (before we even found a place to stay) was the Maggie Beer Farm Shop - Lea's idea of heaven. We had lunch and then watched a cooking demonstration on the kitchen set of "The Cook and the Chef". The only thing missing was Maggie Beer herself. Not to worry, we saw her after the demonstration....
