Deb's Travels...
Captains Log. Star Date 16.06.05
Spent the past couple of days with Thomas May, the mayors son, kept busy and did a lot of walking!!
First off we did the Bondi to Coogee cliff top walk, but mixed it up a bit by doing it from Coogee to Bondi! Ever the adventurers!! : ) Tom brought along Jacob (said-yakob!) from Sweeden and we set off on the 2 hr stroll along the cliff tops. We started around 3 and saw some really magnificant views along the way until reaching Bondi just as the sun was going down. It was a bit cloudy, but a nice day and it also proved to me how unfit I am when my legs were aching all the next day!!!
The three of us went to the veggie restaurant Govinda's (think I've mentioned before) in the evening and saw Motorcycle Diaries in the lie down cinema after dinner. Recommend it to all! Really good film.
Wednesday, aka, Tom's final day in Sydney we ventured 2hrs north of Sydney to Palm Beach, also known to many as Summer Bay (Home and Away) it was such a beautiful day weather wise it made it so nice. It is a really nice beach, the sand felt squidgier than down here, and looked more yellow as opposed to cream or white.
We found the surf club, and kiosk as we walked over the "golf course" hey Tom??? : ) But unfortunatly they were shut so no love there! Only a couple of photo's for yuo to have a goosey at!
We met a lovely old couple who recommened the local RSL (like a British Legion Club) for lunch, so we ventured over and had dinner in the beer garden drinking just that surrounded by people with a mean age of oh...at least 80!! It was cool!! : )
There was an outside bird cage full of cockatoos and other brightly coloured birds that I felt a bit sorry for as the wild birds came up and sat on the outside of their cages...
A nice little beer induced nap on the bus ride home made it fly by!!
Said my g'byes to the mayors son and went to State of Origin footy game in the evening... see next postie for details if interested!!
Over and out xxx
