Today it is goodbye to Yamba and The Fokkers. We have been staying at Blue Dolphin Holiday Park which is a Grey Nomad haven. The boys have enjoyed the facilities, although too chilly to swim in the non heated pools. We have had a nice relax too. We were supposed to head inland to Warwick today but I am not ready to leave the coast behind. Only a small day ahead with an overnight stop at Tweed Heads. We have had a few days in Yamba catching up with Brett’s parents aka The Fokkers / Grannie & PaPa. Great spot on the Clarence River with plenty of fresh seafood. The sun is shining however the wind is adding a chill. We haven’t enjoyed the water as much as we would have liked although the boys braved the water for a kayak today.

We have just spent 2 days at South West Rocks just south of Coffs Harbour. A gorgeous spot with really blue water, a nice little village and whales off the coast. Of course we have stayed at the BIG4 Holiday Park here which the boys have loved and we have done some research for our next park. We found a great camp spot in the National Park up the road near the old convict gaol that we would stay at next time. Today it is off to Yamba for 4 nights, via the Big B...

Wow. We have hit shorts and T’shirt weather with a balmy 24 degree max today. Well it feels balmy after the cold weather in Bendigo last week! Today we travelled from Dubbo to Port Stephens, just out of Newcastle. It felt like a long trip. Google told us it would take about 4 hours but it took every bit of 6 hours. 2 boys grumpy in the back and 1 boy grumpy in the front! Dead kangaroo count 156. Dead wombat count 28. What an amazing day we had at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo. Each of us kept commenting about what a great day we were having. Great weather and we hired bikes to cycle around the Zoo. One of the best zoos we have been to. Finished the day with dinner at the caravan park with Squizzy and his family, one of Brett’s old Uni buddies. (Sorry for the upside down photos at the moment.
