Has a cruisey morning with a quiet walk into the centre of the town (only 5 minutes walk!) and an espresso and yummy things at the Boulangerie just down the road. We then took the kids to the Somme Museum, here in town. It was amazing!! It's a museum set in the air raid shelter tunnels used in WWI and WWII, but what got me was that they were constructed in the Middle Ages so people could flee from marauders!!! Did a Battlefields Tour today and visited a number of sites, including this cemetery and memorial, dedicated to the missing. Amazing tour, led by an Australian girl, Myriam. Had a rehearsal and then concert at Villers-Brettoneux with the Sydney Male Choir and Scots, which received huge applause and a few standing ovations! Channels 7 and 10 are both covering the tour, so you can expect an item at some time over the next couple of days on the news. All fabo here!...

Had a busy day. Started with a drive to Amiens to go to church at the beautiful Amiens Cathedral. Had a picnic in the park and then went to Dernancourt to visit a private aircraft museum. It was interesting and here's a shot of us there. From there we went to the Dernancourt Church for a quick rehearsal before the late afternoon concert. Made it to Amiens this morning and wandered around the town. Our crew were happy to find a market happening and enjoyed doing some shopping. Came into Albert mid afternoon to the Poppies School Hotel, which is pretty good. No double bunks for us!! Went for a walk to Corner's Pub for dinner and walked further afterwards. Bought the kids some ice-creams after and found some spherical bollards outside - the perfect place for some statues!! Such a pretty little town ...

Had a big touring day today. We started with a metro trip to the Eiffel Tower and were ready, first in line in the reserved section for our 9:30 booking by 9:15. Curiously, the tower didn't open until 11:10am, with no plausible explanation except for a delayed opening and then allegedly security involving the lift???!!! Anyway, it was soooo cold for the 2 hours of waiting. We bought hot chocolates for the kids to keep them going. They were amazing, amusing them...
