30.05.05 What an awesome day!! Woke up early to ring the skydive people - fully prepared for it to be cancelled like everything else! But WAHEY! 29.05.05 Today the rubbish was crap. But we got back on the bus and drove through and stopped off at some pretty awesome scenery - including, Knight's Point, Lake Matheson, Gates of Haast Bridge and Marakora - where we went for a walk in the forest. Hostel was set right by a lake and at the bottom of these amazing snow-capped mountains. Gorgeous!

27.05.05 Franz Joseph 28.05.05 Today we had been booked on to do a 'glacier walk' which sounded amazing, but there (typically!) had been an avalanche at the start of the walk, so that (& my skydive) were cancelled.
