30.05.05 What an awesome day!! Woke up early to ring the skydive people - fully prepared for it to be cancelled like everything else! But WAHEY! We got picked up and kitted out and up I was going in the lickle aeroplane! The turbulance was making me nervous as we didn't have seatbelts! But I was strapped to one of the staff and when we got to 12,000ft, the door opened and I was 2nd to go...edged to the side of the plane and WAHOO!! Jumped! Awsome. You have to do it if you get chance!! We were freefalling until about 4,000ft, then the parachute came out and I got to take photos! Amazing - freezing though!! Got on the bus totally grinning from ear to ear : D Drove on through some more gorgeous scenery. Found out that our next stop was the AJ Hackett bungy site at Karawau Bridge! Had something crazy take over me as I decided to sign up for it!! Was much quicker to set up - and I got towels and harnesses strapped to my ankles from the bridge. Had to shuffle to the edge... Oh my gosh!! And leapt! Didn't look quite as graceful as planned and was really scary until the elastic kicked in! Apparently I woke the whole of Queenstown with my screaming! Fantastic. Am thinking of doing another 1!! Checked in at our accom. at Queenstown to find it was karaoke night (it was all too much!!). Had a few drinks and (sadly) sang Shania 'Twang' (what was I thinking!). Was all good. Met up with Jess & Fizz in the next bar and was fun until I discovered my camera was missing :S So left early. Sad end to the night!! 31.05.05 Found my camera - thank goodness! Today we had a lazy day after all the travelling over the last week or so! H & I made brunch, then in the afternoon I went for one of the designated walks here - up into the hills in Queenstown. Was really steep! Got to the top and there was snow in the grass!! Got some good pics. Met the girls from Wanaka at dinner time, then Sarah & Amy found me and dragged me out for a drink at 'Altitude' :) 01.06.05 Queenstown
