Another nice day (yes i know its summer but that doesnt mean its always sunny here.) Decided this was a perfect day to do the whole walk from Coogee to Bondi. Caught the bus down to Coogee and although it was only 11am the beach was already packed. Probably the majority being backpackers! Have spent the last few days familiarising myself with the area i am now living and looking for jobs alonog the main road that links my surburb to two others. The sun finally came out on today so caught the bus to Manly. Now i am living on the other side of the harbour it much quicker to get too Manly. HAPPY NEW YEARSpending New years eve in Sydney was one of the main reasons of coming to Australia. I went to Mrs Macquairies point which had views of the Opera house and Harbour bridge. The gates opened at 10am and i was queuing there from 9.20am. I eventually got through the gates where they were checking everyones bag for alcohol and glass and finally got to sit down on my area of grass at 11.30am!!! My friend joined the queue at 2pm and finally came to join me...

This morning i was able to speak to mum and Dad at their midnight and see in the New Year with them! I was lucky to be able to get through on the phones. Christmas day, we expecting glorious sunshine and nice hot weather. When i rang home at 8am it was cold and wet!!!! After speaking to home i went to open my cards and my presents i had been sent.
