This morning started with coffee on the veranda overlooking the ocean. It is a wonderful way to begin the day. We all had a great night sleep which was desperately needed and we all seem to be adjusted to the time change. It is a 17 hour time difference from Denver to Fiji so I am amazed that we were able to adjust so quickly. We finally made it to Fiji. We arrived at 5:15am. I think I cried just a little bit when we landed. I was so happy to be here. We had a ridiculously busy and fun day. It started with getting our car. In Fiji we drive on the left which is not a big deal. We are used to that from our St Croix days. The hard part is the driver sits on the right and they issued us a manual transmission. Sometime during the night we crossed the International Date Line and in the process we completely lost Thursday. We took off out of LA on Wednesday night at 10:30pm and flew 11 hours to land on Friday morning at 5:30am. Wouldn't you know that the day we lost was Australia Day.

Today was a day of waiting and confusion. Air Pacific never sent a rep to our hotel and it was very hard to get any good info about when exactly our plane was leaving. There were 300 other passengers from our plane all wondering around trying to figure it out. It's amazing how many rumors can get started when you have 300 people with nothing to do but speculate. Today started off great, a little early, but still fine. We went to the fitness center, had breakfast and sat in the outdoor hot tub. We had until 10:30pm to find something to occupy our time.
