We woke up this morning to freezing drizzle which can sometimes put a damper on traveling. We managed to get out of the driveway which turned out to be the hardest part of the day. The drive to the airport was uneventful and we made it to BWI with plenty of time to spare. Our flight was delayed by about 25 minutes but we were able to make it up in the air and landed in LA almost on time. 6 hours is a long flight and tomorrows flight is 11 hours. I am not sure how...

Today is my last day on the East Coast. Ryan and I drove back to Mom's for an afternoon of football, fondue and presents. We finally had a little Christmas celebration. We watched football, (so happy the Patriots are going to the Superbowl), drank champagne and had fondue for dinner. We had a very simple present exchange after dinner. I had really nice relaxing day at Ryan's. I went out early in the day to get coffee and go grocery shopping. It was cold and snowy and all I could think is, 4 days till Fiji. We had some friends over in the evening for dinner and drinks. It was great to catch up with old friends. Unfortunately with the snow and ice not everyone made it out but still a great time was had by all.

This morning my Mom's roommate brought his Girlfriends dog Bear over. Because four dogs in one house is not enough. Bear is a 130 pound, one year old Newfie mix. He's a big goof and fit right in to the large black dog clan we already had going. Hagrid was having so much fun running around the yard he didn't even notice I left. I drove to Rockville and had lunch with Lisa and Krista. We had such a nice time catching up. It is amazing that I have known these girls ...

There is not much to report for today. Debbie and I went for a hike this morning and then I drove back to my Mom's house. I packed my summer clothes and somehow managed to get my suitcase under 50 pounds. We played Rumikub in the afternoon and relaxed. We had a really nice day.
