Well this is our 4th full day here in sunny California ....... and it's raining. Had a great 2 days in San Diego culminating in getting sun burnt at the game yesterday whilst watching the Chargers get beat 23-20 by the Patriots - oh well better luck next week against the Tennessee Titans.
Spent Saturday at Balboa Park where we visited the San Diego Museum of Natural History and the Botanical Gardens. There are some photos of the Spanish architecture that is typical of Southern California in general and San Diego in particular in the San Diego album. Just for Andy attached is a photo of me drinking margueritas in Old Town!!
Today (Monday) we are driving east to Phoenix where we are spending the night in a hotel that has free beer and wine, free snacks and free wifi!! Tomorrow we will continue north of Phoenix for a couple of hours to join our friends (looking forward to seeing you Coyla and Byron!!)

Paul Dring Hi Deb/Ant, It seems strange reading your travel stories from an internet cafe in Kathmandu, kind of worlds apart in so many ways! Sounds like you are having a fun time- The Chargers did well to get within 3 of the PATs! Stay away from Starbucks!
