2nd year visa

The evening I finished my last blog was the evening I was fired! I wasnt even at work but that doesnt matter according to the powers that be at the Gidgee Inn. I had a message passed to me via the Sophie and Carla we had 18 hours to be outof the house. At that point I was already well on my way to a good night so the only thing for it was to get drunk, have a good night and tell the town about it. So that is exactly what we did.

After a good night came the moving out, a friend of ours had said we could stay with him for a while...the catch, he also lived with 8 other men. Although turned out not to be a catch at all, the nicest bunch of tradesman you could come across. We fitted in well and it took all of 24 hours before I was asked to do some work for the company in the office. Of course I didnt mind, they took us in when we didnt have a home. A few days later and I was a full time employee with my own desk. I now have my White Card which is a health and safety requirement to work on a construction site and I have a paid job that helps me get my second year visa. I am one of the lucky ones, not many people can get paid work for their visa. Carla went to richmond and last I heard she was cutting up cows and cleaning killing rooms...Not the job for me. Sophie got a job working on a farm for the Major helping his wife with the grounds, kids and other staff...again not the job for me. As my Mum keeps telling me I fall in s*** and come out smelling of roses well Mum it was in the princess training I had.

So what have I been doing to keep myself busy? Between thirsty thurdays and saturday nights, drinking has paid a large part of it especially living with tradesman. But we have also been adventurous and got the speed boat out, been wakeboarding, took the quad bike out for a spin...I know grown men and their toys :-). At the weekend I even picked up a new puppy for the house. Her name is bella and she is a bull arab. They are a really popular breed here and are used for hunting wild pigs. My boss will use her for breeding when she is older but for now she is wearing a pink collar, goes for walks all the time and gets fed real meat everyday.
