Sorry did not come and say goodbye to you before you left the UK - but am checking this on a weekly basis to see what adventures you are getting up to in Guyana! Sounds like a completely different but rewarding lifestyle to be had... As for not drinking for a year - yeah right! Don't think you will manage, knowing you... But then, when you are determined, you can do it! :o)
Keep those messages and photos coming - agree with you, the house looks very 70's! Went to Alton Towers last weekend with our year - was a fantastic weekend with loads of laughs! xxxx

Hey everyone,
I have been busy with work placement. I have had a really enjoyable week with work. We have been meeting lot of people with disabled and to travel to different work places that CBR (Community Based Rehabilitation, who i am working with) are working with. It was really good and exciting! I will be travelling a lot not staying at office all the time which it is good for us to go out and meeting people with disability face to face to get them out more. In Guyana, people with disabled have called themselves, "Differently Able". I think it is not good idea, so do Ashton because it is similar to say that i cant able to do what "normal" people does. Hope it make sense what i am trying to say?! Will explain more if u dont get it this time! We will be visiting more Deaf people next week at David Rose Special School and Deaf church who are being run by ASL signer couple who are really nice people. They are also an interpreter for us, and they are training hearing people to able to interpreter for the deaf people. It is really good news for the Deaf people. We will be helping to teach hearing people to sign espcecially the parents of the deaf children. They are not getting any good communication apart from very few deaf people who have been successful because of their parents able to communicate with them. It shows that we have a lot to do with Deaf issues here in Guyana. I will be involved in sports with disability and i am looking forward to 2nd of October because it is a national day for disability sports and it will bring all the disbled people to do the sport day. I will be involved to organise it and am excited about it :D Tomorrow is last day of first week which it went really well.
I have made friends with Monty and Sean who are interpreters but are very good people. I have been to Monty house and meet his parents and play cricket with his local people, all are really nice people and are making me feel that i have been welcome to Guyana well and ensure that our stay are really plesant! :D will be going to his house again on sunday to play more cricket!! ;) as Cricket is Guyana no. 1 sport.
Also we have made few friends with football players at my local park which me and ashton are playing there every day and it was fun and does remind me of England in some way! Good way to keep exercise and to get fit and to get rid of that beer belly i had for years :) feel that it is going away now and i will keep going until all gone for good.
I have following the Premiership too and i have watch the match between Man Utd and Newcastle on TV at the hotel which it was really good to see premier league match after seeing Guyana football on TV which they cant play at all.. i means they play like Sunday pub team!! lol that is how low the Top level of Guyana football. ah well still it dont stop me playing with them!! lol.
Anna, Thank you for letting me know about the funeral. Glad that she get good send away.
Wanna to say thanks to people who have posted the messages on the board and please do keep posting me any news from England as will be grateful to know what is happening out there. :D
Love ya all

Hey steven, good news for man u, eh? went to Liz's funeral today, it was a lovely service, very sad. Bianca and Rosie did bidding prayers and she was buried with nan and Claire. There's a big party at the mansion house, so i'm getting ready to go. Can't believe how many people were there, Liz was very popular, like you. The weather is beautiful today, really hot and sunny. We're all missing you and hoping you're having loads of fun. Take care. XXX

Hola, Fellow South American Traveller! Your website is great, am jealous you are spending a whole year out here. Sooo much to do and what you are doing for the deaf people out there is inspiring for the rest of us. It makes us sit up, to get off our arses and think how we can also make a difference. How old are the deaf people you are teaching? Picking up ASL quickly?Iis that the main sign language they use out there? Bet well all FOW you when you return to England with all your *Waves hands about* ASL! The photos are fantastic, gives us a visual insight to what you are getting up to and where you are living. Lots wikked photos of Ashon and the other volunteers, but Steven, dear *shouts* WHERE ARE YOU?!, more snaps of your cheeky grin, pls! We are in Argentina at the moment, beautiful but very cold, massive difference from Guyana! Running out of time before we have to go back to England! Very tempted to stay and travel up to Guyana (catch a bit of sun too before heading back!)!

Hi - it sounds like it is going really well? Just a quick one to let you know another sound victory for Man U today against Newcastle. Goals from Ruud and Rooney sealing a 2-0 victory (which never looked in doubt really).
Also good news on the cricket front with England winning the 4th test with 3 wickets to spare. All a bit tense but seemd easy at the end.
anyway - sounds like you are spending more time being on the telly than watching it? We will certainly be interested in watching any of the footage if you can get hold of it. Do your best and let me know if you need any help with it.
Lots of love - missing you on this side of the world.
Dad and the rest of the crew.

I am having a great time here in Guyana and have been here for 3 weeks already.. am settling down well with Ashton and are getting on with all the volunteers really well. We have teach them sign language (ASL) and they are picking it up well and are communicating with us and are keen to learn more!! which it is great for us and the deaf community. We have been on the TV and in the newspaper AGAIN!! this time for VSO, and to talk about VSO contribution to Guyana and we was in it. :D Trace, I am trying to get in touch with TV company to get a video to show u all in England what we have said on the TV.

Finally got some time to respond to all your emails as I was on holiday last week had a fine time in Scotland. The weather was probably not as good as it is in Guyana but perfect for golf anyway.
Im glad to see from your mails that all is going well and that the place and the people are really nice.
I'm sure the web-site will be even better once you put some photos on it!!
All the rest of the Wynne family are fine and dandy - recovering from the holiday. Man Utd continue their winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Villa so maximum points from the 1st two games which is better than last season.
Anyway, keep adding the news, particularly when it relates to your fame and (hopefully) fortune!
Be good, keep on eating (but not the dodgy stuff that gives you food poisoning) and stay off the lager.
