Deaf Guyana
Hey buddies,
I am pleased to annouced that we (mainly Ashton) have been working really hard on setting up a new Youth Deaf club at Diamond Special Needs School which we will be entertaining youth deaf children among some of children with other kinds of disabilities in varoius of activities and games.
The Grand opening was on 25th March 2006 as we officially opened the Youth Deaf club with some 25 children and parents and teachers in the audience. We gave the scissors to the Teacher of the Deaf class at Diamond School as well it is her birthday, so it mark a special event for her!! She was pleased to have the deaf club for the children and to give them some recreational during the weekend.
The Youth Deaf club have lots of board games, dominoes, cards, balls, etc to entertain for 2 hours peroid every 2nd and 4th saturday of the month at 2pm until 4pm.
The youth deaf club is hugely successful and we are looking forward to entertain the children in the future in many different areas of recreational activites and to give them confidence and facing the world with their disability.
Hope u enjoyed the pictures of the youth deaf club.
If u are interest to help us out with donations and money etc, please do so as the address are on the front page.
