The early hours of this morning was the Black Moon Party. On the island of Koh Pha Ngan, they celebrate the different stages of the lunar cycle with a party (in other words, it's an excuse to get drunk and party!) with parties for the Full, Half and Black moons. While we were here on the island it was a black moon which was ideal as it was held at our resort on the beach, right outside our front door!

Before the party started we covered ourselves in fluorescent paint and we made Dan a brightly coloured t-shirt as it was his birthday at midnight. The party started around 11pm and there were around 800 people on the beach partying away. The music and dancing went on till around 7am in the morning and we saw the sunrise from the beach. Needless to say we slept most of the next day recoving from such a late night!!! Dan really enjoyed himself and it'll certainly be a birthday he never forgets!
