Last night Laura and I went to Broadbeach for dinner and then to the casino. First, we sat down for dinner at a seafood/italian restaurant. Laura asked for the pan fried chicken, to which the waiter replied that it was on the lunch menu and that she could not have it. I explained that it seemed very similar to the dinner version of the chicken, but she didn't want to the prosciutto or some of the weird garnishes and that she would much prefer the plain version. He again said no and refused to ask the chef if he or she could accommodate. In response we got up and left! Our waitress at the thai restaurant was much friendlier.

At the Casino we sat down at a blackjack table - Laura bought in for $40 and I bought in for $50. In about 5 minutes Laura was up to $100 - and declared that she was done for the night! Unfortunately I wasn't quite as efficient as Laura and wanted to keep playing. Despite her strong will, it was too tough for her to just watch me play, so she played a few more hands and ended up with $80 and quickly cashed out. After hanging around for about a half hour I lost all of my chips.

On the way out I wanted to put down $20 on Roulette and see what happened. Luckily I started winning and was quickly up to $50. At this point Laura's cautious side took over and demanded that I give her my chips. This was for safekeeping and I was not permitted to touch them anymore. Once I reached my initial $70 on a couple good rolls, she had squiralled away all my original money and would only permit me to play with my winnings… Which soon disappeared. I walked out even and Laura doubled her money - If I had it my way I would have gone back to the blackjack table to win hundreds more dollars!

Today we went to Wet n Wild for the afternoon and had a great time. I havent been to a water park in ages, so I was a little nervous at first… But quickly started loving it. As had become the theme during this trip, Laura kept having to go in the front of our raft or floatable device because she was smaller - which resulted in Laura again taking the brunt of the splashes! Hilarious

Tomorrow Laura will be going all the way into the ocean and succesfully completing a wave on a boogie board… She just doesn't know it yet!
