Last night Laura and I went to Broadbeach for dinner and then to the casino. First, we sat down for dinner at a seafood/italian restaurant. Laura asked for the pan fried chicken, to which the waiter replied that it was on the lunch menu and that she could not have it. I explained that it seemed very similar to the dinner version of the chicken, but she didn't want to the prosciutto or some of the weird garnishes and that she would much prefer the plain version....

This morning Laura and I woke up at 7am (which for us felt like 6am because of the time difference between Byron and Surfers). We quickly had breakfast, then headed down the beach to start our kayak adventure. We shared a 2 person ocean kayak. The guide told Laura to go in the front because she was smaller. Laura and I took a shuttle bus from Surfers to Byron today. As we waited to leave the station, the driver was grumbling about stupid university students with no brains... Hi Everyone, Laura and I arrived in Surfers Paradise yesterday afternoon…It's only been about 16 years since I was last year. I recognized nothing until we pulled into Hi-Surf, when the tennis court and indoor swimming pool began to ring some bells. The only thing is, is that they used to be so much bigger! Loyal Readers, My final day in Hong Kong was incredible. It is an unbelievable city and certainly my favourite that I have ever been to.
