I woke up at 6, and went downstairs for some nice breakfast. Later, we got on the bus heading to our first stop, the North Church. After getting of the bus, we walked to the North Church and waited in line. It was surrounded by a small neighborhood with a lot of other styles buidings. The director told us those buildings were built by European immigrants. Apparently, immigrants' culture had a huge impact on the history and today's world. Few moments later, we went inside the North Church. My first reaction was: OMG this place is so gorgeous! We sat in the squares just like people did in hundred years ago, which made me feel like I've been time travelled back to the 1700s, I felt special that I had the opportunity to sit in the North Church and feel the history.
After the church, we went to Harvard Campus. It's one of the college I really liked, so I was excited! But we didn't get to do much on the campus though… that made me feel kinda bad. We spent nearly most of the time in front of the library talking about its history, so I didn't take a lot pictures. We got out the campus really fast for lunch. And needless to say, that burger place is so awesome! I had a really classic cheeseburger and it tasted so good! Well… It's kinda sad that it was my first but probably the last time here though.
After lunch, we started heading toward Lexington and Concord. Where the first shot of the Revolutionary War was fired, and how the U.S. history started. Also we went to the old mansion. I am glad that the old mansion was saved perfectly and been protected well. Everything in the mansion was stored well and well protected. And I got to touch the piano from hundred years ago which was cool.
After that, we went back to Boston for some Chicago styled pizza. I've never had those before so I was so excited to try it. I was sitting in a table with people from Arizona, slowly we became best friends and talk about lots of stuff going on these days. It was fun.
After dinner, we went back on the freedom trail to see more historical places. The Old Ironsides, a beautiful ship used during the Civil War. It was under maintenance so we couldn't get on it but it was worth seeing the ship still floating above the water symbolically.
Then we went to the Old State House which was built in the 1700s for the British workers. Now it is still standing in the middle of Boston symbolizing history and freedom.
After that we went the Samuel Adam's Grave Yard and the new state house. And the sun started falling off the sky. And that's the last day we are going to stay in Boston. And tomorrow we are heading toward NY !!!
