I woke up at 4 A.M. because it was cold in our room and I had to sleep on the floor with no blankets. I turned on my phone and started to listen to music, and fell asleep again.
The next time I opened my eyes, the sun was already outside shinning. I changed my cloth, and went to the lobby to have breakfast. I was kind disappointed because they had no bacon. I love bacon, especially in the mornings. I grabbed two toasts, milk, coffee and fruits, and sit in the corner quietly by myself. Minutes later, my other friends came down floor, and we started chatting.
But I also saw a lot people speak different languages. Immigrants, I told myself, they are in this hotel with me. Back to the 1800s, immigrants receive low wages, no rights, and probably will live in a Immigrants only hotel. But what I was seeing was that we are living in the same hotel with different races, religions, and sexes.
The first stop was the airport. We were supposed to pick up another group from Arizona. I was excited to make new friends. I love making friends, and have fun with them.
After picking them up, I was too tired to socialize with new people. I fell asleep.
Our first stop was the park in the middle of Boston. We were walking around the park for hours, and enjoyed the fresh air. There were ducks, squirrels, and different groups of people speak different languages, so I really did think that the immigrants had a huge impact on the U.S. history and everyone's daily life. After the park, we walked around Boston: the most gorgeous Library I have ever been, Trinity Church, the old beauty. And so far, I loved Boston. After walking around Boston, I got tired. The good thing was it was almost lunch time. After few minutes of walking, we entered the Prudential Center to have something to eat.
After eating, our first stop is the First Church of Christ. It was a giant church built in unless than one year. We took a few pictures, then got on the bus.
After getting off the bus, our first stop is the North Church on the Freedom Trail, and Copp's Burial ground. I learned that the artwork on the headstone symbolizes death, heaven, and peace. After walking around the burial ground, we went to Paul Revere's House. But the only thing we did is taking pictures in front of it, and also, I had the first Cannoli in my life and it was so awesome!
We walked back to Quincy Market for dinner, we got a special ticket but I got a cheeseburger… After eating, we just walked around the market. I bought some gifts for friends and my dad. Later we met up in front of the statue and then got on the bus heading toward the hotel. And that's day one in Boston !
