Today we visited the Grand Canyon.Wow Wow Wow!!!We thought we had seen some sights but this was right up there with The Rockies and The Sydney Harbour Bridge.It was truly awe inspiring.Mary & Pete as you know nothing prepares you for the size.we took loads of photos and of course we will be showing you them when we get back,but as you said Emma nothing is the same as seeing it with your eyes.We drove to The Grand Canyon rather than get the train and good job we did.We arrived at the park at 9.30 and didn't leave until 5.30.Then we had only seen a bit.We got on and off the shuttle bus.Every 10 yards there was another amazing view.It is so wide and deep.I don't think Dave will forget Fathers Day 2011.Thanks girls for your good wishes,we were thinking of you today.Don't worry Dad had a really big steak for dinner and then we shared an oreo ice cream sundae.Its the first dessert we have been able to eat. The portions are still really big.We are really worried that Dave and I will be charged excess baggage to come home.
