1st Official Day Of My Travels

And what a start, I forgot my bloody camera! I'm such a plank! As Julia would say! Lets start at yesterday when i got the sleeper train down from Inverness to London, said goodbye to my mum which off course was hard, & my aunty & uncle came aswell so that was nice. Fortunately, I ended up having a room to myself and studied my new camera instruction manual! What a waste of time, I must have left it in the car duh! God I was soo annoyed with myself. Anyway, got down to Euston at 7.30am then made my way to Heathrow and had to kill 7 hours that was fun - not!

Got my flight at 4.30pm and was displeased about the film selection of the plane so just went to sleep or as much as you can sitting upright on a plane!

Arrived into Beijing at 10:30am and eventually got through passport control and immigration, I had pre-organised for Leos Hostel to come & collect me cause I'm a wimp & my Chinese consists of ordering a 23 & 49 from the local takeaway! Was worried as they had siad they would be there 30mins after the flight arrived and it must have been 90mins before i got through so was delighted to see that sign Leos Hostel David Cameron though the guy couldn't speak a word of English so it was a very quiet journey though did feel like puncturing his horn as they are all mental drivers & weave in & out of traffic - nutters!

Got to the hostel in 1 piece and checked in. I have a 4 bed dorm but not yet seen anyone from my room, though there is some blokes bag there! Went out for a walk but haven't yet strayed very far but its bloody freezing bring on Sydney!
