Our Year of Adventure
David was awake well before the alarm with a 'not a care in the world' feeling. The alarm was set for 7am, later than usual but there was no work today...well, at least not paid work but there was still heaps to do, so much in fact that the 'not a care in the world' feeling didn't last longer than a mug of coffee.
A quick list was put together of the things we needed to get done by tomorrow - make a bit more space in the storage to put the last bits and pieces in was a priority and then meet some friends for a bit of lunch and dinner in the evening. Easy day or so we thought...
With a sudden change of heart, David diverted from the plan - he decided to sell the Micra and that took up the rest of the morning. Then the clock really started ticking - the trip to the storage was postponed while we raced across town for lunch. Lunch was quickly followed by beers, which was followed by dinner and then followed by probably one too many jugs of beer. A not-so-productive day but very enjoyable all the same. "I will just get up early and do the rest of the stuff in the morning" and with that, David set the alarm for 5am...
