Our Year of Adventure
After breakfast we walked down the road to the village, mainly to buy our bus tickets to Peru but also to have a little bit of exercise. We wandered around the centre of the village and it's main plaza. There wasn't so much to be seen, a lot of internet cafes and a church which was relatively modern looking.
There were also quite of lot of cafe/restaurants that seemed to just be catering for a coffee crowd. It was difficult to decide if they were tourists or expat retirees. The Juice Bar overlooking the plaza was popular so we joined the crowds and had an organic iced mocha - very good!!
The 2km walk back up the hill was not as easy as coming down, you certainly feel the climb a bit. We did more blogging and sorting of photos after we made it back up the hill to the Hosteria. Later on, Maria started to feel really cold and spent the rest of the afternoon in bed under covers trying to get warm - David on the other hand, went off for a cold beer.
Maria made it out of bed and down to the restaurant to meet David and others for dinner. After dinner, it was down to the bar again but unlike last night, we chose not to sit on the dogs' sofas or stay up so late.
